Lizard Rockby hotpastaComment: Really like the way the wide angle creates such strong leading lines all pullng the eye right into the scene. High contrast black and white works really well to bring out the details. The shadows at the lower left, top left and along the top edge of the frame are a bit heavy for my preferences though. |

Workdays Endby fordmanf1Comment: Absolutely wonderful use of light and shadow - the black and white presentation works really well especially as you've included the extremes of the tonal range - lots of black and just the right amount of white. |

Left Behindby luddeComment: Beautiful... really artistic... almost abstract... somewhat ethereal... love it. |

The White Circleby gsalComment: What an unexpectedly intriguing image - at first glance just a snow/ frost covered roundabout but made all the more appealing by the various mysterious footprints, vehicle tracks and rocks. High contrast black and white is perfect for this shot. I don't know why but I really do like it a lot. |

Patienceby gocComment: Almost abstract - lovely use of shallow depth of field. Love the colours, the textures, the composition with it's use of negative space. All works for me. |

Leafby tonizedComment: Like the inclusion of light and dark - the lighting definitely makes this shot. |

CONVERGENCEby ericwooComment: Really unusual angle makes for a really strong and very disorientating composition - it's actually making me feel slightly dizzy - a great achievement with a photograph of a straightforward brick wall! Clever! |

She Thinks My Tractor's Sexyby sherComment: Does she indeed? In that case, I think you've pulled!
In all seriousness, this is a lovely abstract produced by narrowing in on the details of an everyday object. I love the repeating patterns, the lighting, the way the black and white brings out the uneven surface texture. Great image. |

Special K Rust Patternby hotpastaComment: K for Kavey! I love the wonderful colours and textures of rusting surfaces and this example is just wonderful. Great choice of detail to create strong composition and interest too. |
