Jonathan?by hajekaComment: I'm curious about how many will understand your title - clever reference by the way and it did make me stop and smile and look at the photo that much longer. |

SwirlPoolby NeilComment: At first glance, I nearly skipped straight on past but actually, this shot has a strange permanence that made me stop. The light has a wonderful quality and the long exposure has managed to stress both the stillness and the movement at the same time! Colours are lovely. Lovely. |

Great White Egretby robdocComment: Wow, what a wonderful pose you've captured - like a ballerina! The background looks almost painted - which continues that theatrical feel. And the green of the leaves echoes that of his makeup - sorry, his eyes! Great shot! |

Surprisedby AlainComment: Lovely sharpness, I love those hairs along it's neck/ body. Fantastic composition. Excellent DOF - love the softness of the background against the sharpness of the foreground. Oh and colours too - the foreground ones are just perfect over the background ones. An absolutely wonderful wildlife shot. |

Arrivéeby ImagineerComment: Hey stranger, haven't seen you on DPC much lately! Gotta love the complete contrast in colours between subject nad background... works really well. |

Boo!by smykComment: Loooove the colours and especially how the background colours mimic the beetle ones. Though I usually love extremely shallow DOF, I think it could afford to be just a touch deeper here. |

Wild Thingsby ellamayComment: Lovely, just lovely! Now this is an image that I know, had I taken it on safari, I'd be sooooo pleased with, so elated about... and yet I don't know how well it works without that emotional connection to the experience of seeing the animal in real life? It's a good shot, certainly, but not a "Wow" shot, I think. Still, as I said, I know I'd be happy if this were mine! |

cRoSsInG LiNEsby LOWLANDSComment: Oh yes, I do like this. Yes, I know it's a set up of three unrelated snails but I don't care one bit - it's so Alice in Wonderland! I love quirky! Plus I am a sucker for extremely shallow DOF and high contrast black and white! So you have it all really! Top shot! |
