With a background as messy as this I would have spent some time moving about to find a better one. Another idea would be to throw the background out of focus by limiting the depth of field. A tall vertical format image might have improved things as well.

In terms of composition the centrally placed plant in the central foreground (ivy?) spoils the balance of the scene. I'd have moved to shift it to the right. Even then the scene does lack features to hold the viewers attention. Personally I would have liked the fence to have been more dominant so that detail can be seen.

I can see the blurred memory theme of this image but it does not hold my attention or make me want to look again which for me is what a good image should do. It should demand my attention. I'd like a photo of this memory when it comes into sharp focus.

Is there something here that I'm missing? A cloud shape, a subtle link with the title. Apologies if there is but for me the blur and lack of contrast do nothing to hold my attention.
