All these wonderful things: small faces, smears, hieroglyphs, umbrella and rain ... and yet it's just a simple hand-on-hip that connects all the dots and makes street pantomime. Thank you.

Yes, scent visualised. Vapours slanting, wafting with the promise of some tantalising Grail. You even give us a glimpse of the molecular diagram of the scent, at the top left corner. It's a fragrant tour de force Thank you.

Oh how I love that Corinthian connect between the photographer and the man in the portrait. Especially as it makes a large letter 'Q' ... for Question; for a time-travel dialogue about art and meaning. Thank you.

Best of all.
Contrast with the blue ribbon (for example) ... pretty, but give it two seconds and you're done with it forever.
With this portrait, you're never done.

Didn't vote nor look, but I knew where to find you.

What a success, John. Look at all those bewildered comments scattered in your majestic wake.

Everything's uncertain: scale, meaning, even gender. A portrait for the times and a big holy-smoke from me.

This is strangely lovely. The long exposure transforms it into something else. Music. Or a code of some kind. Anyway, it would have been boring, and now it's not. In my top three. Thank you.

A gourd, an onion, a bag of mushrooms. I thought H was the weeper, of was it the whiner? But it looks like he's the pizza maker.
I might have him confused with some other bloke, however. No matter: it's all Greek to me anyway.

It romps easily into my top three, because it's not predictable and it is at least intriguing. Interesting. I think the two shiny things are important, but have no clue what or why. No need to explain; I like this state of anxiety.

Thank you.

Beautifully done Robert, and in my top two. It has an irresistible quality of animating itself. Best of all it was different and considered. Thanks for doing something for the grownups.

Beautiful. Not like anything else. Seeping away in a mist of regrets and embalming fluid. My top pick. 10 and thank you.
