Chapelby spydrComment: This looks very striking. The white columns & the white spire have a apposite glowing look, especially against the ominous sky. 7. |

Van Gogh Museumby PanoComment: Is it really? Vincent probably wouldn't have liked it much. Looks like a water reservoir, with a father watching his son trying to fill it up. Your point of view is nice, though, and at least gives this ghastly structure some visual interest. 5. |

Rooms with a viewby bpickardComment: Good grief! Where is this? Hope you're not one of the poor buggers who have to live in it? That aside, it's a very impressive image. OK composition and point of view. I see one non-conformist has left his window open. Plans on jumping, I expect. 6. |

Read for Lifeby nards656Comment: This is the central gizmo in a ceiling, right? Not a wooden flag? Whatever it is, I'm afraid I don't find it a very interesting subject. It tells me something about the construction of the structure, I guess, but nothing much about it's architecture. Sorry. 4. |

Abstract Architectureby wayne9232Comment: If this is a building, the lifts must provide an alarming ride. But I guess its a sculpture? Looks spectacular and the photo is very good. 6. |

Columns, Reflected.by sfaliceComment: First I thought, so what ... just show me the columns. But then I realised how very clever this is, because it seemed like looking back in time to a vanished, classical age. Finally I decided I probably shouldn't have had that third whiskey. Whatever, it's a memorable image. 7. |

ARCH i i TECTUREby PatochComment: Here you are apparently deliberately striving for a particular effect, the point of which I'm afraid eludes me. But that may well be my problem, rather than yours! 5 |

Ribblehead Viaductby peeceeComment: This is a striking photograph of an impressive structure. The composition/perspective is sympathetic & the framing/cropping emphasises the viaduct's character. 8. |

Vertigoby brockangeloComment: Note to several commentators ... vertigo is NOT a fear of heights! It is a condition involving dizziness and/or loss of balance. It is actually more likely to be associated with looking UP than down. What a pity this excellent photograph was apparently marked down because some commentators did not know what they were talking about, and were not prepared to find out. |
