A Frank Gehry Masterpiece

Unlike many Frank Gehry designs, this one doesn't look like it's caught in the act of falling down. This photograph is a very fine tribute because I imagine it depicts exactly what M. Gehry had in mind when he designed the building; soaring, concentrated, and just a little bit organic. And a celebration of form over function, of course. 7.

Such a good eye you have! This is charming and witty, as ever. It has five major elements and it would not work without any one of them. Plus it has many minor elements, every one of which contributes a pleasing if whimsical note or two to the performance. Bravo!

I must disagree with The King; I think the slightly uncertain separation between sea and sky is a great counterpoint to the severe geometry of the middle ground .. another bold horizontal division would be just one too many. And the easy, undemanding swoosh of the foreground road is a lovely magic carpet to carry the viewer into the story. Terrific!

Well, I wonder if the double rainbow would have acted as a bit of a brake on this? It's so complete as it is, that I really can't see how you could fit a double rainbow in without removing something else. Demolishing the barn, say? Nah ... this is just fine like this.

I always love it when moms take their shirts off. Oh ... OK, I see. Well, even so, it's still a sizzlin' good photograph. Another fine example of your recent and continuing compositional tour de force. What you choose to leave out is really just as important to the success of these images as that which you include. And that's impressive.

Don't everyone in TX dress like this all the time?
Awesome tones! (The photo, not the cowboy, I hasten to add.)

I agree with the African chick ... there's a whole sociological study of cellphone/human relationships just screaming out to be done. Cellphone etiquette, herd versus solitary cellphone behaviours, the effects of passive cellphone calls, cellphone abuse and dependency; all that and more, and we are the ideal scientists to study it ... it's really all about images! How 'bout we get Lesley involved & do a three-continent collaboration on the subject? Get JPR or Pawdrix if you can't do all of North America alone. Even add e301 & go for world domination.

This photo could be cover material for our eventual coffee table book. At least back cover, but maybe front.

As well as the splendid wall, the spare hand gesture for emphasis (which you have cleverly isolated with judicious motion blur) is a master touch. And the cargo pants and the shades subtly reinforce the suggestion of this guy as intrepid urban adventurer. I tell you, Rob, it's all there!

He's a very fine Aussie. And I'd know, of course.
Looks like he'd get along fine with Gus the Magnificent (who also dislikes cameras):

My pick, too. Bit more dramatic than those wildflowers. And wombats.
There's an anthropomorphic feel to this. A mad suggestion that these elephants are just about to surprise you by making an unexpected remark. Something like, "Well Delores, is photography really art, or is it just BS?"
