Every time I see one of these I photograph it. Either literally or mentally. The mental shots always seem to come out much better.
It's absorbing. Thank you.

Birds are irresistible photographer magnets. I think it's because they are mostly anonymous, whereas mammals seem to have an individual identity. So that makes something mysterious about birds. And when they are joined together as a single organism, something rather unsettling too. Hitchcock knew that a flock of malevolent black birds was way more scary than a herd of grumpy elephants. Thank you.

All the best things about the magic of photographs are present in this one.
Was it Gary Winogrand who said he took photographs to find out how things looked photographed?
He had a very good point about the magical difference between a photograph and reality. It's all on show here. Thank you.

Checking your phone after prayers! That's how the response comes back to you, as a Whatsapp message? I knew I was doing it all wrong.
Lovely tones. The camera in the better Huawei phones seems consistently good for monochrome work.
I'll tell you why I love looking at B&W photos so much: I find that my eyes roam easily around the frame, soaking up small things like tones and light. This one is good, rewarding roaming material. Thank you.

Dear Rich,

Thank you for this comment. I joke around with comments and photographs, but this one is an issue I am deeply passionate about. These astonishing creatures have so many unique qualities that I will mourn when they are gone. And they will leave us, because for reasons too complicated to go into here, they are not equipped to survive in our world. They hold on, but they will inevitably lose their grasp and fall. They are, paradoxically, too beautiful, too perfect, to survive.

So an elegy/valentine is a perfect characterisation of my photograph. Thank you.

I was waiting for your post. I wasn't disappointed. It has all your DNA and spoor on it. The picture is a message to America. It's a coded message, but the cipher is not so tough to decode. Next week we will see if I have decoded your message correctly.
Thank you.

These chairs are whispering to each other. It's a quiet conversation. Gossip, or at least something confidential. Never suspected that, from the thumb. Actually, I never knew that chairs were like that at all. Thank you.

I had a Jag once. 3.8 Mk2. It blew 5 head gaskets in 18 months. I loved it, but I wish I'd known you then. If you can get satisfaction and reliability out of an MGB, you can get a Jag to keep its head.
Nice tones, thank you.

I'd like Sherlock Holmes to take a look at this track, because it seems irreconcilable. I love irreconcilability above all other qualities in art. Thank you.
