Witty and absorbing. An uncompromising sort of audacity in refusing to give this a conventional frame of human reference, such as an encroaching footprint or shadow or even a bit of human detritus like a cigarette butt or discarded wrapper. It's all the better for that restraint. I voted this in my top three but neglected to comment because I was just reaching for the reins after a break from DPC.
