Cute idea. Almost forgot for a minute that this is a AA Battery challenge when I was thinking about your setup for this. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what kind of pushpins you used. :D Couple of things that would make this stronger for me. The lighting, if more uniform across "LIFE", would be better IMO. The "stars" could stand to be more like pinpoints and lose the slight blur. Overall, nicely done. Good luck in the challenge.

Still Being Strong

Creative. I like your use of lighting in that it creates a natural vignetting. I imagine you needed it (lighting) this way for the extreme shadows that make this photo what it is, but still a nice side effect. :D The title is throwing me off a bit. I understand the twin towers of the WTC connection, but how are they still strong? They don't exist anymore except in our hearts, minds, and memories. Having said all that, I don't have any suggestions for a better title...hmmm.

Anyway, a nice creative shot, with an emotive twist to it. Well done. Good luck in the challenge.

This is "ok". Lighting is a little harsh (diffuse it or bounce to eliminate harsh glare). It's almost too in your face. The light streaks are cool. Good luck in the challenge.

Energize Me

If this wasn't overexposed some on the bottom of the battery I'd say it works well. The grain is ok. Some are going to like it, others will not - it's a very polarizing technique here at DPC. This photo reminds me of an outerspace shot, where the battery is a spaceship and the area behind is the gallaxy with a black hole. :D Good luck in the challenge.

Not quite sure I get the reason behind the stacking of the batteries, but it does add a nice diagonal line to this image. I hope you find this humorous - when this photo first loaded I thought the word on the extended battery said 'ANUS'. The light streak on the outside of that battery is chopping off the letters just enough... :D Anyway, it's an interesting take on the challenge. Good luck.

The One vs. the Many

So many lineups of batteries in this challenge. Nothing against yours, just an observation. I like the battery you've selected as the "One" - bright color and the text on the battery going the opposite direction adds to the effect. Lighting is fine overall, maybe some bounced light from the low end side would fill the shadows a little, but the shadows are minimal anyway. Good luck in the challenge.
