NASDAQby dsternerComment: Probably could have done better without the table in the upper left, but overall I like what you've done with this, and it's an identifiable acronym - especially based on your photo. The glasses are a nice simple touch. I would have probably gone with a calculator and pencil and mucked the whole thing up that way. :D Overall, well done. Good luck in the challenge. |

CPUby scarbrdComment: He-he. I thought about doing this one, but didn't feel like pulling the case off and cleaning everything up. You've done a nice job as far as an identifiable acronym and a clean, crisp image. Good luck in the challenge. |

B.U.G.Sby mch_nzComment: I'm sure you've made up something clever in your mind as to what the acronym is, but I have no idea from looking at your photo. It's hard to get past BUGS as in the insect use. As a photo, it's interesting to look at. Good luck in the challenge. |

D. N. A.by idnicComment: Cute, and I recognized the acronym immediately! Hooray for that. I like the color choice you selected for the background. The bottom border is a little distracting as it's twice as wide as the sides. Just an observation. Good luck in the challenge. |

City of Angelsby glodaComment: Creative use of lens flare? Very cool result however you obtained it. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

Primary Colorsby levyj413Comment: Is this for real?! If yes, what a catch. If not, what a fine job of PP. :D Did you do some manual blurring on the rails and snowpile in the lower left? Looks fuzzy over there...just an observation. One other minor thing that sticks out are the lamp globes - one is white, the other yellow.
Overall, a job very well done. Good luck in the challenge. |

Tame Thy Pencil: Scribble Notes for Yass Flute (Jazz Flute)by jimmyjazz78Comment: Nice finish overall coming in 26th. Top 20 would have been more appropriate IMO. :D
I like how you're a poet also - eh?
From photographer comments: "... Calm, steady hand harnessing a racing pencil; putting fleeting musical thoughts to paper. The flute is at hand and ready to test drive the fresh, newly written melodies. ..." |

Virtuoso by md8speedComment: For a still type photo you did a nice job here. I light the soft, warm feel of the lighting. Gold reflector? The clarinet is well focused. Not sure about the corner to corner positioning, seems a bit too symmetrical. JMO of course. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

lesson dayby patryComment: The first thing that jumps out at me on this photo is the carpet/rug. :D I'm being a little humorous, but seriously, first impressions are important. The other thing I notice right away is the cool color tone and glare from the light coming in from the window on the left. Use a reflector to bounce some light back in (white foam board works well) and adjust the color temp (white balance) a little towards a warmer tone. All JMO of course. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

The Steel Drummerby e301Comment: This is a nice photo, in a street photo kind of way. Tells a story, engages the viewer. The B/W tonal range is very well covered. Compositionally I think the subject is too centered with the image having a horizontal split. Pull up the bottom, trim in the right a tad...? Just a thought. As for the challenge - what's the connection to the School Days theme? |
