This was shot through a fence and I used a flash to fill set at -1 stop.

This first appears to be a texture study shot featuring the feathers. Then the baby's head appears, but it is centered and out of focus. I would zoom in on the baby's head and make sure the eye is in focus or zoom in on the feathers and fill the frame with that.

It took me a while to figure out what this was. The title was a help. I think this would have more impact if the lighting was a bit harder and enhanced the texture of the wood and the detail of the staples.
