I won't say you're lucky to be able to take a shot like this – we don't usually get much more than brisk breeze here in the UK – but wow, it's excitingâ€Â¦ (10)

Yukâ€Â¦ Uggâ€Â¦ This shot's utter garbageâ€Â¦ Great still life, great composition and really awful use of mould work well to create a really good shotâ€Â¦ Great photographyâ€Â¦ (9)

Wicked shotâ€Â¦ You have achieved a great sense of drama and balance by using composition superbly well; you have pushed a boring subject into the realms of interesting artâ€Â¦ Great photography (10)

I love the expression on the dogs face - and don't they just love binsâ€Â¦ It looks to me like you have used a sheet as a backdrop to mask objects or patterns that might impede the image; this is a good idea, but I find the crease lines draw the eye away from the subject almost as badly as clutter. Also, personally, I'd have tried to keep the tail in shot. Finally, the angle of the shot is the same angle that most of us would view a dog from, and therefore, it doesn't add to the shot. Lying on the floor – at the animals level, can produce all sorts of interesting (and often amusing) results. From that tirade of moans, you'd think I didn't like the shot; on the contrary, I like the shot quite a bit; the exposure works really well and the use of all neutral colours maintains a solid balance that is almost sufficient to block all of the negative points I've madeâ€Â¦ (8) No creases – I'd have scored the maxâ€Â¦ Keep shootingâ€Â¦
