Sailing home? Without the sails up?

I see the light beaming down (which has an optical effect of moving towards the viewer) overbearing on the storm which appears to be leaving off to the right (and moving away from the viewer).

As such, I would have sliced off the land and gently cloned out the tall grasses.

It's got great potential and is a well-spied moment. If you want, you can PM me and I can show you what I mean more clearly. :)

Just for 'happy voting', I'm going to give you a score based on an average of what I see as the potential for this image and what I see in the image... and rounded up. :

Quick, somebody tip that janitor! Them's some seriously nice floors!

Great pic too btw. I 10ve the idea of the vertical lines of the school contrasting with the horizontal lines of the child who appears to be not getting along or running against the grain.

If you look really closely, you will notice that there is a subtle rhythm of horizontal lines along the top which have a 'leading' effect suggesting unrealized motion in that direction, presumably an exit.

I find the contrast/saturation a bit low and the mid-highlights a bit disappointing.

I like this. I like the way the boys really stand out strong with the overdone white shirts. I like the softness and I like the noise/low contrast through the rest of the pic. I also like the border.

Very slightly oversharpened for my taste. Especially noticeable in the OOF areas which could easily have been hit with a touch of gaussian blur.

Generally quite appealing though.
