Our Place By The Seaby NuzzerComment: weird.
I agree with the others. I mean you could easily have entered this in a free study. I mean they happen often enough right?
I would say that the attitude is even a step beyond childish. Arrogant is suitable and I don't think it would be a stretch to say it's quite rude to everyone else who entered in the spirit of the challenge.
I mean what's the point? You just wanted to win? Why not enter yourself in the kiddie foot races at your local elementary school? You'd be guaranteed a win. OK, so that's a pretty silly example, but is it any more childish? Or would it be more anal for the rulekeepers to DQ you from such a race on the grounds that you aren't in the same class?
I'd say that it's a no-brainer, but whatever. Best choice at this point would be a self-DQ. But the gall that you showed in entering in knowing disregard for the guidelines for this challenge is quite offensive. |

Morning in my Cityby LadyKComment: just fwiw, I can see stitch lines.
I'm a fan of Pano's, but they don't work in the challenges. |

X-Ray by GabrielComment: Proof positive that there are no limits to what can be accomplished by a skilled photographer.
*blown away*.
I thought there was a pad of paper involved here. |

5.52 Reflectedby MelethiaComment: I quite like it. The complexity is well suited to the cityscape feeling and the man is nicely framed. It would probably be a bit better if the man wasn't blurred in the lower left corner.
There's great visual impact. |

4_IMG_1448.jpgby eschelarComment: Yeah, would have been nice, but I am not actually in this class, so shooting during the performance was the best I could manage. The only person I really know in this group of students is the girl in the red dress, and not all that well at that.
Dress rehearsals are often performed with 'experimental' lighting and if I'm not a part of the crew, they won't follow my directions. Nor indeed should they in most cases.
I don't like shooting with flash during a performance, but honestly, the dress rehearsal is often just as anxious - if not more, so I prefer to avoid flash in those cases as well.
Unfortunately, most of the plays that I've had the opportunity to shoot have had dress rehearsals at inconvenient times too. |
