This is of course my humble opinion, I hope my comment is taken in a positive way, all the best, | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Not sure what is that, it could be a bet of noise in here, not sharp enough, a mix of both.
If you are mentioning stars in your text, I'd like to see it in the pictures.

On my screen it looks as though it could use just a touch of sharpening. Can't see where you had that in your steps. Try resizing aftter you've finished processing to twice the size you want to end up with (ie 1440 pixels wide if you want 720 pixels as your finished size) and "Sharpen" once - then maybe once more if it needs it. THEN resize to 720 pixels. |
Thanks Deb, appreciate your comment, the problem was having to shoot this from the table level :) Had the focus on the glasses which when enlarged is tack on, but that left the word cappuccino a bet soft, as it curves, not even shooting at f8 could've got everything in focus from such a short distance :) once again .. thank you for your time and kind critique, really appreciate it,

| 05/08/2009 11:02:16 AM | Waterfightsby michaelmonnComment: I am for once don`t mind the busy background in here,
But there are two issues preventing this picture from scoring high.
1- Big part of the face is over exposed, which caused some details loss, like the subject`s eyebrow.
2- You used a big Aperture 3.5, which increase the DOF, makes parts of the water and the model face a bet soft, I`d go for aperture 5.6 or 6.
It is a very nice try, the problems are minor, but the creativity is there, just need more practise :)
Keep shooting and all the best,
