Armadilloby TallblokeComment: Very nice, love the colours and feel too it but I think it´s framed a little bit too tightly, I am curious about the surroundings of this strange building. Anyway, one of the better shots in the challenge, gave it an 8. |

...as the night crawls inby eyjoComment: Not bad at all, Icelandic landscape never hurts an image anyway. Is this isafjordur? Good luck in the challenge. |

Depressionby ArtifactsComment: Very nice, has a very sad feel to it so this definately fits the challenge IMO. Love the composition and tones in this image, has a distinctive "Ansel Adams" feel to it and think this would have done well there. |

Tranquilityby ArtanComment: Lovely shot of a a lovely location but I can´t help if it hadn´t seemed even more tranquil if you would have taken a couple of steps forward and skipped that fence. Anyway, good colours and I like the tonal range in this shot. |

Exhilarationby grahampComment: Different from most of the shots and that is always a plus and I like this image, reminds me of Icelandic landscape. Anyway, not really fond of the composition, too centered and cramped for my personal taste but the colour and contrast in this image are superb, would have liked to see this shot wider but that´s just my humble opion. Gave it an 8. |

Live the Moment...by eojedaaComment: Nice sky with good colours and very pleasing to the eye but needs something extra to make it go "pow!". Still one of the better shots in the challenge, gave it a 7. |

In the mood for loveby digitalpinsComment: Not bad, good moment you captured there but the composition could have been better IMHO. The lower part of the frame doesn´t really have any purpouse I would have tried placing the dog in the lower right corner instead of dead center, I am not sure it would have been better but it´s just a suggestion on how you could have gotten a more pleasing composition.
Also I would have cloned out or cropped out that shoe or whatever that red object is in the top right corner, it´s out of place and draws the eye away from the main subjects. Same goes for the yellow dandelion (or whatever that is) close to the center in the bottom of the frame.
Anyway, not a bad shot at all but I think you can do better. |

Comfortable and relaxedby NodeComment: Personally, I have seen so many of these shots that they have to be spectacular to work for me and while this is pleasing to the eye, it´s hardly spectacular and I also find it a stretch to fit the challenge as it doesn´t affect me at all although I scored like you fit the challenge. Anyway, not bad at all, good composition and you used a correct exposure time for the flow of the water but it seems a little bit underexposed so maybe 1 stop higher iso or 1 stop bigger aperture would have fixed that (this could just be the fault of the screen I use here at work though). |

Disturbed by PedroComment: I find this photo a little bit disturbing if I may be honest, it´s very powerful and I don´t really "like" it in the normal sense but I gave it a very high score due to the fact that it affects me. Wouldn´t be surprised to see this end up close to the top or even on top. I especially like the lighting and the composition. |

It's a LIFE!by sissiComment: LOL! Love his expression, really makes this photo work and great lighting too. Hope your model doesn´t take this the wrong way but that psychotic expression makes me wish he doesn´t have to treat me someday, I mean this as a compliment as it´s great acting on his behalf.
(on a nitpicking side note, did you misspell the title, shouldn´t it be "It´s alive"?) |
