Absolute Still by SkipComment: Wow, very cool, love the "almost an silhouette forground but not quite" and the stars + reflection really make this image work. Went straight to my favorites, don´t wanna jinx you but would be surprised to see this anywhere other than on the front page tomorrow. (10) |

Comfort After a Bad Dream: Daddy's little girlby enashComment: Personally I don´t think a completely black sihouette this much without shape was the way to go here, if the title wasn´t there I would just be looking at a black blob that didn´t tell me anything. What I am getting at is that the shape should look more like a father hugging a daughter, again, without the title I wouldn´t know what I was looking at, it could be a melted candle, some kind of wood carving or just about anything. Anywaym, I really like the backround, very nicely lit and the wignetting looks good and the mood of the shot is pretty good so I gave it an above average rating. (6) |

Harbour At Dawnby CoralComment: Pretty nice, love the hue on the sky but I think this shot would have been much stronger with someones silhouette standing by the water. |

Moonlight Serenade by patrinusComment: Pretty cool but the overexposed moon isn´t very good looking. I know this is an almost impossible image to make within the basic editing rules but I would have liked this shot much better with the silhouette of the bird, the sky slightly brighter but still moody and the moon correctly exposed. Still very nice, I gave it a 6. |

Sunrise at Manly Yacht Club, Australia.by GIS_boyComment: Surprised not to see more sunrise shots in the challenge but this more than makes up for the lack of quantity by having great quality. Love the shot, only to nitpick I would have wanted to see the top of the masts of most of the boats except for the one to the left since you have so much of the masts in the shot. Other than that, extremely pleasing to the eye and I gave you an 8. |

Silent Sightby sjonniComment: Nice, somehow I have a feeling this is taken by a fellow countryman but in any case, one of the better shots, gave it a 7. |

Morning Shiversby vikasComment: Wow, pretty cool, love the sky and since this is a basic challenge I know it´s not created in PS. Good job, gave this an 8. |

Walk In The Parkby alihComment: Hmm, not going to vote off topic but it really doesn´t look like it´s taken at 4 or 5 in the morning, way too bright outside and the only place this time of year that it´s bright enough for a photo like this at that hour is in the south pole and this doesn´t look like it´s from there.... This shot is way way too flat for my taste, would appeal more to me if it had a lot more contrast. |
