Nice but needs some of that extra umpfh! Sorry but whenever I see shots of barbed wire I always compare them to this

and doesn´t really stack up. This is hardly bad though but the key with these images is composition, the backround and toning. I think none of these three ingredients are bad in your shot but none of them are good either, but you are definately on to something, just keep at it :)

This one is AWESOME! Went straight to my favorites and not a thing I would change about it. Reminds me of Ed´s work, (e301), nice work!

This one is pretty cool, I like your b&w conversion style, it is very nice and contrasty. This is however a shot I think I might have preferred in color, with the girl in some bright colored clothes contrasting against the dark monotone rocks but it works in b/w.

Nice shot, I like the tones in it. It´s a bit of a neck twister though as you say and that is probably the only thing I dislike about it, nice work, especially on the lighting, I love the lighting!

Nice shot, well exposed and the composition obviously works as we have seen before. This shot is bulletproof but the problem is I have seen it so many times before you definately get a - for not trying something original with the location. Perhaps taking a shot straight up from the center and making it absolutely symmetrical?

Sheesh, don´t really feel qualified to comment as you kicked my ass in this challenge but you wanted a comment so here it goes.

You specifically asked about the hand. I don´t see what bothers you so much, I think it looks pretty cool and "in sync" with the rest of the shot. However, if you mean you wanted more light on it, I would just suggest just that, light it with a monolight and make sure using a red/yellow filter of some sort as the light from the monolight would differ vastly from the lighting from the flames. If you were to do that, lighting it from above would be my suggestion, I like that the part that turns away from the flame is in shadow. Nice work my friend, 6.5+ and could easily have gone higher too.

Gotta agree with jaded_youth, it´s hard to make out what this is, this photo is a bit dark, needed to be some lighting down the drain too :) Nice as an abstract but I am not really a fan of abstract so the subject isn´t really appealing to me. Nicely composed though, I like the angle it´s shot from.

This one I like much better, the same goes for techical issues, I like that. However the composition and expression of the cat are much better, I don´t think there is much you can do to improve this save maybe watch out for blown highlights on his throat. LOVE the dof, nice work.

This is pretty nice, well done technically, I like the sharpness and lighting. However, is a bit too cramped compositionally for my taste, would have either liked an even more up close shot where you fill the frame with just one eye for example or to back up.
