Baboon6.jpgby KHoltComment: I don´t see anything that implies your screen being off, this seems pretty well exposed and all that so I wouldn´t worry too much. Just next time you vote, take a look at the bar at the bottom, if you can make out both ends of it your screen is pretty ok :)
This is a nice shot but seems a bit flat for my taste, boost up the contrast a bit and voila, excellent shot. Actually not really all that fond of the composition too, a bit centered and think I would have liked this better if you had composed in a portrait mode, cut off the tree trunk and included his tail instead if you catch my drift. |

I found a Motorbike above my head!!!by JudiComment: Cool idea and well captured, would have been even cooler though if the tires were not just so completely frozen, the image looks pretty static because of it, if the tires just had a hint of motion blur this would be so much more dynamic. Anyway, nice shot, gave it a 7. |

Gruesome Discoveryby ggbudgeComment: Nice idea, could have been executed better though, why not let him hold something iconic that really implies that he is dead and gives a more sense of story to it, like a gun or an empty briefcase that looks like it´s ben busted open or something like that... |

Overnight Deliveryby 3eyedcrowComment: I dunno why, this has nothing to do with photography but seeing a cigarette and a baby in the same photo really bothers me, sorry, just had to get that off my chest. |

green treefrogby ArpeggioAngelComment: This one is also pretty cool, doesn´t have the same image quality though as the butterfly one, seems a bit noisy but nothing that is really hurting the shot. I like the color composition and the strong colors, works very well and the cramped composition is also pretty good, I like this shot. |

skipper butterflyby ArpeggioAngelComment: Nice shot, agree with ShutterPug, nothing really more I can say about this picture except that it´s very nice, and well done technically speaking. I like the color contrast in it. Needs to be something extra though to make me drop my jaw, seen to many shots like it for this to really impress me. |

privateby tcmartinComment: To be honest I gave this a 5 when I scored this challenge. 5 from me means for me average, neither good nor bad and I don´t really connect to the shot. For me personally this got lost in a landslide of good images and I didn´t really connect to this image. I think it´s the fact that the image is faceless and no eyes that doesn´t do it for me. |

podsby tcmartinComment: Nice shot, well lit. Think this shot got a little bit of did not meet the challenge votes, scored lower than I would have thought. I can understand that though even though I would have voted as it met the challenge, traditionally still life is of inanimate objects and you photographed something that either is or was very recently alive. Anyway, nice shot, well composed and well lit, nice work technically speaking. |

Eleanor Rigby - Waits at the Window Wearing a Face that She Keeps in a Jar by the Doorby AeroglyphicsComment: Nice shot and congrats on your new top score, won´t be long till you improve it though if I am not mistaken, you seem to be on the way to getting the hang on what scores well here and I wouldn´t be surprised to see good stuff rom you in the future.
I like the shot, well lit and technically well done, only thing I really dislike is the BLACK backround around the girl, think I would have preferred it if there was something visible there but still dark, like the innards of the hut (or whatever is behind her). Nice work, would probably have given it a 7 in the challenge. |
