My only suggestion would be to focus on the single plate and the wine and forget about the plate in the background. Since the foreground is so much the focus everything looks centered this way. Just a little different crop would make the image much more powerful IMO.

A little different crop and some work on the lighting (more from the front and reduce the glare on the table) would make the photograph have more impact I think.

The lighting needs a little work. This almost looks like it is several images that have been just pasted together to make the whole. A little back light, or even some light from one of the sides to get a little shadow would add the bit of depth that the photograph needs.

And strawberries served on that type of dish? Sensuous not wacky :)

The scar on that finger makes it look like this sandwich has been served before :)

This is an idea that had to be done. The deep red foreground and the light blue background clash in my head, I would have preferred them to be the same (and using the darker color to hide the shadows somewhat).
