I don't see how this photo will do well in this particular challenge, though it certainly is a beautiful photo. Very soft, very warm with great use of light. Just don't think it conveys "granular" enough to do well.

My idea to change this photo:
Have her lay down on her back with strong, diffused light in the room or outdoors. Completely surround her head with green apples so just her face is popping through. Shoot with a deep dof, maybe F/16 so everything is in complete focus and there you go. Just an idea for a re-shoot if you wanted to try it.
