I really like the textures in this shot. the subject itself is very interesting. colors are nice, composition is nice. the only thing I would try to improve is the lighting. I know you don't have much control over that outdoors, but you could try to set up some lights, or perhaps wait for the sun to change position? anyways, great photo.

good idea for a texture. the photo has nice lines created by the gaps between the ropes, and the twisting contour of each. if you lit it from the side, though, you could get rid of that reflection, and the texture would come out even more.
