in the moneyby lilleasComment: try to use a neutral background, solid colour. some textures like wood don't reflect light very evenly. it makes a big difference in the overall appeal of the photo. other than that, good sharpness on the lead quarter. and a canadian, too -- extra points for that!

As Illustratedby JPRComment: when first looking at the subject, i didnt see the eyes glaring up at me. when i looked at it for a moment longer, they seemed to 'open'. very cool.
