granulates-containerby daniel kuhneComment: Finally figured out what was bothering me about this photo. The focus is on the near face of the container, but the background obscures all but a few of the "granulates" so there isn't much to look at. Might be more interesting & have more impact with a colored background. |

Snail Tomatoby s4nd3r99Comment: I'd have liked to see some of the shiny peel for contrasting texture. The shadow is strange somehow. The tomato itself "reads" blurry even though it looks crisp along the edges. |

Return of Shirley Templeby angelgirltComment: Cute kid, but this looks like a snapshot. The colors appear washed out (although it could just be faded playground equipment) and it's not very sharp. Plus, it's not backlit - from the shadows that I can see, the sun appears to be above and in front of her. |
