I am no photo expert so my comments are based on how I feel about you picture, I hope they are usefull.

This image may have been helped by with some detail in the rest of the picture, so overall it feels a little underexposed. At the same time the burnt out highlights do attract my attention to the glass at the front of the telescope(?), but just detracts from the image instead of adding to it.

I don't think personally that there is much wrong technically with this photograph apart from the DoF does not cover the top right hand corner and the image overall seems a little dark (maybe that is a true reflection of the colour.)

Unfortunatly though this image really did not stir any emotion or make me feel anything.

I personally think this image would have worked better without the hand, as - for me - the hand seems to attract my attention more than the bubble.

I smiled when I first saw this image, so it had the right effect :) Couple of things that I think make this image not as good as it could be are; the snow looks a little gray on my monitor and the crop at the right hand side is a little tight. So it overall - for me - seems to be a sullen image when I think it should be happy and colourfull. Hope this helps.

For me the darkness (exposure) and trees gathering at the bottom of this image detract from the focal point of the image, the lighthouse.

I like what you have tried to here. The circle of Gulls seem to fall nicely with the cloud formation behind them and that works well.

I like this picture every part of it draws my attention to the point of focus.

Interesting idea. But the picture - for me - is hurt by the lack of detail in the other ares of the picture, and the burnt out highlights. The circle appears to be around an object, but unfortunatly I cant quite see what that is.

I cant see anything wrong with the picture it just does nothing for me. The lines in the picture are interesting enough, if not a little obscured by the dark colour of the car. Apart from the obvious focal point of the headlamp, the second largest part of the picture is the reflections, these - for me - if used could have an impact on the overall score.

Thanks all for comments and Rikki very constructive thank you.

I did see this myself of bit of an average photo, but decided to take the plunge with my first entry so I am pleased with the result and its placing.

Thanks again all for the comments and votes.
