Totally cool and has a lot of meaning. I like that you aren't looking down the barrel of it. Is that a 21 gun salute or a 21 inch gun salute? Colors seem a little drab but it also looks like maybe late in the day, but not sure. Maybe curveswould help.

Being miltary myself I can relate to this image. I'm hoping that is actual an old metal helmet and not the kevlar type, you wouldn't meet the challenge then.

Give it a couple years and you can enter this in the obsolute contest, of course depending on what size it was you probably still could. Great lighting, DOF and colors, I love the hint of red with the data cables. Good job

Lacks punch, or character. Colors are washed out, especially towards the front. Maybe some curves would help add that extra bit it needs.

Your DOF killed your image, the busy background could have been blurred a lot more to distinguish it from your real subject. (is that supposed to be the Star Wars Jar Jar Binx? lol)

I'm sure you heard it a lot, make it bigger if possible. If your having trouble with the size cause of the 150kb try small amounts of compression as you save till you get under the 150kb. That will help your image stay large enough to see details I couldn't vote on.
