Losing my Marbles
by ladpupmoe

Comment:
I like the patterned shadow, it adds a lot of interest. A different arrangement of the marbles might work better for me, this is a little bland. And a side note, they can look really cool shot outside on a sunny day.

Oooo. Took me a while. Are people missing the CD you're shooting through? It's a neat concept. Lighting is maybe a bit bright, but otherwise...nice job on an original idea.

Autorretrato. Self portrait

This has no effect on my score, more of a curiosity: What do you mean by your title? I know autorretrato translates to self-portrat.....but......are you a clothespin? Must be deeper meaning that I'm missing.
About your picture: It's very nicely in focus, and composed/cropped well. Thank you for providing a focal point rather than seven brown ones.

Sections of a Lift Bridge

The tease of the curving road really completes the line our eyes are led along. And with the foggy view of the trees, it makes for a great mood. I'd love just a little more of this first section, it's cut off so abruptly.

Craps

Nice job with the focus. I feel the 6 & 1 dice could be closer to the camera, as a balance thing I guess. The 4 & 3 seem so far away in comparison....but maybe you did it this way to keep them all appearing the same size. Oh, also - the lighting and color really work. It doesn't hurt me to look at this one for a long time, as I am.

Wow. This feels 3D. The glare on the pen is a little harsh, other than that I do like this, it draws me in somehow.

With less harsh lighting this would be a striking photo. As it is, a lot of the color and detail are lost in the glare.

Wow. gorgeous silhouettes. It works without the top half too and makes for a more intense picture, though I'm not sure which way I like better. A bit of a stretch to say the distant cranes are the subject, but I'll give you that.

Humorous. I might have played with the arrangement of them a little, the fuzzy yellow guy seems to stick out on the side and might do better in a more central location.

"poppin" the children of the corn...

Comment:
Very interesting. I think it would work better on a darker background so they stood out more, right now it's a bit too overwhelmingly white. Even though this way lends more impact to the blood, it's just a little too hard to distinguish shapes.
