All this says to me is 'bag'... maybe if it were filled with water to make the wrinkles smoother it would pop more. The composition is nice, it's just the subject I find a bit uninteresting.

The framing seems a little off kilter to me, perhaps a square frame a bit tigher around the flowers, centered perfectly would be nice. It seems a little oversharpened, too... there's some aliasing along the edges of the flower petals. I like the subtle shades of color in the petals, too... though the picture on the whole doesn't really say 'black' to me. :)

Nice, you've captured a distinct mood here. I would have tried framing it to the left somewhat, showing more of the curtains (or cropping off some of the right), even though this is a 'black' challenge. :)

Very nice blue-black, it goes great with the very saturated rose. The red of the rose looks a little hot to me, but the green is excellent. I also like the cat's expression even though it's not facing the camera. It looks thoughtful!

I'd like to see the exposure a bit darker so I can see details of the bulb's filament. It would help disguise distracting imperfections in the glass, too!
