There are a lot of shots in this challenge making use of this title. This one does a better job than most of capturing the particular theme - so well done on that level. I would say, however, that the girl's pose does look slightly unnatural. Good lighting.

Very pretty. Would perhaps be improved with a deeper DOF so that the tree in the background was a bit crisper, but I do like the way the deer are isolated from everything else.

Great shot - I think you'll run into trouble perhaps on account of the fact there there is no rain involved in this image - but it's a great catch nonetheless. 7.

Nice and crisp - very effective DOF. Seagulls just aren't the most interesting subject, but you've done well with these.

Well the execution isn't quite there - it's not as crisp as I'd like and the lighting is a bit harsh, but the concept is good and you get an extra point for the amusement factor. 7.

Superbly captured - beautiful treatment of the colours (I'm assuming these have been enhanced in post - otherwise the lighting is just really great). Some might take issue with the fact that you've cropped his feet out - but I think it works without the distraction of ugly chicken legs. 9.

I quite like this for its simplicity - but I can't help but feel that an extra compositional element (i.e. a surfer, bird etc) would have greatly added to this shots impact.

Not a bad effort - but would probably be improved if the composition was slightly less centred and the dragonfly was a bit crisper. Insects aren't always easy to shoot.

Absolutely stunning. This is certainly a strong contender. Stylistically, this is reminiscent of some of elsapo's butterflies - if you are not he, then take that as a compliment. Would perhaps have liked the tail to be slightly crisper, but a deeper dof might have compromised the overall effect. 10.

Why am I not entirely surprised that the two images that caught my attention (well besides the pasta shoelaces - which are pretty tough to ignore) in this challenge were yours and xion's.
