not quite sure what to make of this. i love the colors, but there are places where the textures seem strange, as if overly-processed for noise reduction. i may be wrong, but that's how it looks to me. an interesting collection of shapes, to say the least.

i can't help but wonder how this would have looked had you use a little fill-flash on the subject. as a silhouette, i think it would have been stronger with a different pose, definitely not looking at the camera.

nice observation. i appreciate the conservative treatment you gave this--it retains the calm before the storm that probably would have been lost had you gotten overly aggressive in the processing.

a bit too dark. i see what you're after, but find your foreground too distracting. it might be as simple as cloning out the trees around the umbrella, so that it stands out. as it, it just seems a bit cluttered.

i have a feeling as to what you're after here, but think it needs a bit more work. there is nothing automatic about these shots--they take a lot of effort, and a lot of experimenting. one thing to do is to check your light patterns to make sure all the lines are coming out complimentary, rather than haphazardly. while this is just a bit too brash for me, i appreciate the effort.
