Juggling a Healthy Diet

You really stopped the movement. And cought the color. And the composition. Sure you don't have "juggle" in your name? Did someone else toss additional objects into the mix? Regardless - shows great skill. Congratulations and good luck with the challenge.

"Left 45 degrees, down 5 feet, proceed visually and contact ground (water?) control on channel 1143" - or something like that. :-) That image is so cool. This duck looks like he's been through the mill though. Feathers rather worn here and there. All of which we wouldn't know except you stopped him cold - with great focus. Good capture. Congratulations and good luck with the challenge.

Oh, man! That is just so graceful! And normally, such a background would be distracting, but it really highlights the white pants. Even their belts are a part of the "dance". Good focus; nice stop. Congratulations and good luck with the challenge.

I don't know is this is stopped motion or not - but the image is absolutely wonderful with the bright brown violin contrasting with the shades of gray throughout the rest of the image. The composition is super. I'd give it an even higher rating if it was for a "3 Cs" challenge (color, contrast and composition). There's humour somewhere in there. Anyway, if you don't mind, I'll make this one of my "favorites". Good luck with the challenge.

Pearcer, I wasn't one of those 1, 2, or 3 raters. I was sorta middle of the road (5). The trouble I have with these type of photos is that they lack a central subject; there are lots of subjects in them and you aren't really sure what to concentrate on. I did see backlighting, so I was ok there. I just didn't see a real, standout, 'knock you dead' kind of subject. It was nicely photographed, it just lacked that big punch that a challenge winner needs. Hope that helps. By the way, just because you weren't able to get something that scored really well doesn't mean that all the rest of us were able to do so. (Obviously!) You are in good company.

Very nice black and white composition. One of the things I love about these kind of shots is that you can spend tons of times looking through the image for interesting side bars - such as the trio holding a conversation in the lower left, the older gentlemen hanging over the fence on the far right and the group of friends sitting on the bar behind the players. How about the little girl with her parents right on the side lines? Great detail and focus throughout. Really nice tones and contrasts. Wonderful image. And a different sport for this challenge. Curious if anyone else thinks it stands out as much as I do (I do lots of LF B&W). Hope you ribbon.

Nice stop of the action and timing. Great focusing for your subject matter. Would have rated it higher but for the distracting feet and legs elsewhere in the image. Good luck in the challenge.

You've obviously taken a photo of some other images which were merged together somehow. Nice composition. Good luck in the challenge.

Great DOF, color, lighting and contrast. Wish it didn't have the distracting fence posts, etc., in the background. Another image in there is if you cropped right to the right hand side of number 11's right shoe, down almost to the top of her head, and right down the back of number 6, elmininating the blue and white number two. What you would then have is an image concentrating on the two players facing off over the ball - with the ball more centered. It would concentrate the emphasis and remove all distractions. Just a thought. Good luck with the challenge.
