Infrared Rocks!by marboComment: The problem with infrared photography, is that everything feels cold, or doesn't settle right. I think that this image in standard color probably would have rated better with me. |

liverockby DAYWOO62Comment: Love the subject and the rock, gave it a 5. Might have been a 7 or an 8 if the girl was sitting on the rock looking out, or at least looked like she was there for the picture. This looks like you wanted the picture of the rock, and she was just in the way. It just takes that little bit away from the overall appeal. |

Stare of stone.by cathysappComment: The background made this hard to not feel uncomfortable viewing it. Rotating it back to parallel with the ground could have helped.
Could also have worked by blurring out the background with a smaller depth of field.
I don't know what's behind you but shooting from the other side could have been better as well. |

Rock in its naturally Sittingby Crafty SueComment: This looks a bit over processed. Just didn't please the eyes. Because of this, the rock looks very odd. THe highlights off of the rock also make it tougher to look at. |

Closerby eckoeComment: to those of you that commented, you're all right. There's something wrong with the way I'm reducing and editing images, either in the workflow and/or the software. I'm looking into learning a better workflow.
Fullsize better crop
Above link goes to the crop and detail that I wanted to see in the image, hopefully this would have scored better than the brown. It's twice the pixels, and the only thing that's been done with it is a slight curves, and convert to greyscale, then 1:1 cropped to 1280x1280.

Columns, Reflected.by sfaliceComment: I really liked ths image, gave it an 8. I'd be interested to see what a 180 deg. rotation would have done for your voting. It might have made people feel less upside down. |
