First Impressionby JeanComment: This is a stunning piece of artwork... truly. I don't know enough about impressionism to know if this totally fits the challenge (obviously, to me, it doesn't), but I'm not going to let my ignorance hurt this lovely photo. I can't wait to see how it was done!! Oh, and you should definitely make this a print or sell it as fine art.
Coming back and changing my thinking... I just read up a little about impressionism... and I just don't see how this is an impressionist piece. I *want* it to be impressionist, so I can give it a 10 because it's so cool... but I really don't think I can... I've got to change my score, I'm sorry. It's the best photo in the challenge, I just don't think it quite fits the challenge. I normally give those a 4, but I can't do that to this piece. 8 |

True to natureby terjeComment: This is beautiful, but-- and this is just my opinion-- I think it would have been a tad better had the sharp rock in the foreground been removed. Everything else is just so soft and pretty, and I feel like the close rock challenges the mood of the photo. It's a great shot, though... 9 |

Winter in Autumnby annasenseComment: Originally posted by e301: IR now ... You know... I'm sorry you don't like my IR shot because it's not the first time you've ever seen it, but it's the first time I've ever done it, and I don't think it's fair to vote down something by comparing it to something you've seen before. How many ideas on here are really original anyway? |

Winter in Autumnby annasenseComment: I really enjoy the look of infrared, and look forward to doing more of it. I understand that this is not the place to showcase such work, though. Thanks, all, for your comments. |

MiPod :)by annasenseComment: Some comments, mainly relating to the statement TabbyCat made. This photo WAS taken at an unusual angle, but unfortunately, I don't think many people are familiar enough with the iPod NOR did I make it obvious enough in my photo. The back of the iPod is a mirror, and I placed a cool gift bag opposite the mirror so that the iPod logo stood out more. I think most people just thought it was a picture of a print out of the iPod logo on a neat background or something. Oh, well. I tried. |
