Nice tones and I love the crop. Just enough water to show time passing at the same time not too much to take our mind off what you were trying to achieve. I believe that is called ‘great composition’. Not much more I can say other than Great Job!

Hi, I really like your work. You have some great shots in portfolio. On this photograph I would have to say it is a good shot [imo]. I am slightly distracted by the blown out rim on the left and I feel as if the spout should be more to the left top giving me a better perspective. I like the tone and adjustments you have done. Good Job.

Your photograph is a good example of time passing. The colors are great and I like your composition. I think you did great going from green to brown, it makes your photo more dramatic. Works well on the bright white background.

Your photograph is a good example of time passing. I actually though about this idea but didn̢۪t have the skills to pull it off, but you did. Very good technique, I wish you would do a tutorial on how to do this after the challenge is over. 10

Where do I start? I see an item that is from the past but I don̢۪t see the time passing. I know its an interpretation thing but IMO it does exactly meet the challenge. You did however take a good close up shot with good detail and focus. Your lighting and white balance is good as well. I think it would have been better if you would of placed an current time controller in this shot with the cord connecting the two, the cord could of represented the passing of time. Just my 2 cents.

You have achieved a good photograph here with good lighting, focus and detail, color, and good DOF. I feel you could composed your photograph a little better by having your pet facing the camera slightly giving the subject more depth, it would keep the subject from being so flat.

Nicely done micro but the arrangements of each item is confusing and un-natural. The way you set your shot up draws my eye to the very sharp pencil. I think my eyes should be drawn towards the crossword puzzle. I believe you could have arranged the pencil in a better way. With that said you have a good photo here. You cropped well, good micro, nice dof, and good focus. Good Job!

I see a very nice photograph here but can̢۪t see how it relates to time passing. I know there is a clock In the photo but the way you took the picture it is standing still. I would try to be a bit more creative next time because you have the ability to take good photos as seen here. Nice color and lighting. Details are there but I believe they need to be a bit sharper and a crop to make the tower vertical would have helped.

First let me say good photograph. Great lighting and focus. And in this picture I think your border works well. Now what I see that could improve on the challenge theme. All candles seem to be set up in a row perpendicular to the camera lens. So it looks as if you cut the candles to different sizes to create the melting away of the candle over time. I think it would have been better to let this happen naturally by having the candles the same size and light each candle about 3 minutes apart to achieve the same effect but we could of seen the wax running down the candles. More on the small candles that has been burning longer and progress to little wax melt on the last candle lit. Good job but I think this could have been a great shot.

I think your picture would have been more dramatic if you would of cropped more on your subject. Good lighting but the subject has little detail and it is soft focused. I wish you would of zoomed in a little more to get the detail.
