Electricity, justby Luca66Comment: Electronic is it part of electricity or is electricity part of electronics. The debate continues but lets look at your photo for a moment. First I̢۪m looking at your subject or better said trying to find your subject. There are too much going on here. I don̢۪t know if your subject is the power lines, power poll, street lamp, light bulb or the entire photograph. The subject is just not interesting. Composition, when you cropped your photograph you went off the canvas a little to the top right leaving a white area in space that is distracting. Lighting is ok and the sky has a nice blue tone. I̢۪m sorry, I mean no disrespect but I have to comment on the way I see the photograph for your good and mine. Keep up the work and good luck in the challenge. |

Old Technoloy Still In Use Bridgeby prbettsComment: Good idea hear but the position of your shot was not well thought out. This picture has the potential of being a great shot but imo has several flaws. 1]. It̢۪s to small. You need to use the maximum image allowed for more details. With DPC its 640 X. 2]. I would of tried to get in a position where as the white building behind was not in the picture. It is distracting. 3]. Focus is not sharp but the lighting is ok. Good try and I wish you the best of luck |

Handled with careby sidpixelComment: Very nicely done, almost makes me feel I̢۪m there. From the machinery to the operator to the desk and chair to the room all seems to be natural. Well lit and in good focus. Highlights and shadows are nice and you have set a mood. Even the blown out window does NOT distract my eye from the slight motion of the machinery. Great Job! |

BradP Must be Stopped! by tyt2000Comment: “When I saw your picture I had to get someone to help me off the floor. Very fun, tasteful, and did I mention a technically sound photography. A 10 from me!
And with due respect to BradP – He is on a roll that he is in control of. He is truly a gifted photographer.

blue hills.jpgby jjbates4Comment: You didn̢۪t put in the information letting us know what shutter speed you used, aperture, or ISO. The main thing in this photograph is the movement of the clouds over time. The stars take away from that because you can see a little movement. I think the picture would have been great if two things were a little better. 1. Pinpoint stars [slower shutter] and, 2. Trees not blurred [if it was windy nothing you could do about that].
Summary: You took a good photograph with the potential to have been great. One thing was in within your control and the second was not. You did a great job with lighting, setup, and exposure. GOOD SHOT!
Wish my camera had ‘bulb’ feature but I’m stuck at 8 sec.

Oreo Eulogyby wkoffelComment: Your photograph is well thought out and very creative. The border gives me a feel of looking at a slide film. Great Job! |
