I Like Blueby storytellerComment: Lighting's a little harsh. Did you use the built-in flash on the camera? Also, in compositions like this, I find that getting lower helps a lot, right down on the ground on your belly, even. 8-) I like the variety of blue shades here though, with better lighting this could be very nice. |

blue herron under a blue moonby koolaid26Comment: Cool, I like how the trees are blurred. This really looks like a painting! It's very neat. The horizon is a bit out of whack though, it's skewed to one side. |

Calvin Kleinby airaticComment: The idea is good, the execution could be improved, though. It seems to have been taken with the on-camera flash, which makes everything very flat and washed out. The skin feels pale and sickly because of the flash. Also, the image is a big grainy. With natural light, the blue color would be more vivid and the skin would appear more beautiful and smooth. |

A LITTLE BIRDYby Rando D300Comment: Good bird shot. Nice rich blue. Too bad the focus is on the belly of the bird, it would have been nice to have the eye be the point of focus. A little more DOF might have been needed too to get the blue feathers sharp as well. I like the yellow (green? I don't see greens well... :) and how it works with the blue. |

Blue Eyesby menardmamComment: Great! I love the unique view. And, though I like some of the "eyes" I've seem in this challenge, this only is definitely more different and makes you think about it more. Great lighting, nice background. Only, the right "eye" is a lot duller than the left side one, I would have liked the right side one to be as deep and rich in color as the left one. |

"Raining Blue"by sfarrell23Comment: Fantastic image! This is a work of art. Did you spray blue water on there? Or is it all photoshopping? It looks too real, so I will assume it's not a photoshop job. This is really nice, the only suggestions I can make are maybe get a bit closer to the flower, I'd really like to see those pretty drops up closer, the sky is also a little noisy, and maybe adjust it so the whites are a little whiter. But a great picture. 8 |

last nightby withoutseeingComment: Nice deep blues. I like the way the blues work with the warmer tones of the rocks. The sky's a little grainy, but not too bad. |

"1117 Cool Caribbean, meet 1215 Inlet Blue"by anmurrellComment: Ah, finally some blue again, the last 3 images I voted on were pictures of the moon, without blue! Argh. Glad someone read the challenge description!!
I don't understand the title, I guess it's something technical. There are some beautiful deep blue gems, and some funky little ceramic-like balls. I like the DOF and focus. The group of balls in the distance feel like an audience watching the closer part of the scene. I might prefer having the in-focus area, the main subject of the scene, be brighter though, and keep the brightest areas away from the edges like the top edge seems to have right now. I like the composition and how you've cropped tightly. |
