Daddy!by razwanComment: I liked your photo very much. Don't give up. The score from average voters is sometimes a riddle. |

Wheeeeeby daysezComment: It took some time but after a while I think now it's a swing made of a tyre. Good use of motion blur. Very creative. -stephan |

Yes, sir!by stephanComment: Regarding the title: I recently saw a film where a boy had to say "Sir" to his father and I found that really weird. I didn't chose it to explain the photo. I think the photo is understandable without it (when you know the challenge). In retrospective I agree that the photo has a flaw and many commented on that. Despite I wanted it to be simplistic and only portray the belt as a symbol, I agree that the emotion it suggests is not conveyed. It's too bright and the yellow/orange colour is too nice. It's not that I now dislike the photo. It's again almost exactly how I had it in mind and how I wanted to make it. I wanted to experiment with negative space and I liked the colour. But I should have put more effort into trying to convey the theme than experimenting with the techinque ;-) To GeneralE: I didn't intentionally put the belt like a snake. I'm an atheist and to me a snake is not a symbol of evil. But your idea with the hand is good. Thanks again for your comments. |

Special Deliveryby milehighstarComment: I can imagine many will lament about the colouring and the postprocessing effect but I like it. If it's better or worse with the effect than without I can't say. I would like to see the original. Maybe it's a mans belly (a man who drunk lots of beer) and you make fun of us ;-) In my opinion it is also creative because as far as I can see it's the only photo depicting our prenatal childhood. -stephan |

Celebritiesby psychephylaxComment: I'm pretty sure this is a photo of a picture. So I can't give you a good score for the technical aspects because these were not decided by you. -stephan |

Hospital Childby jerryComment: Another photo were a plush toy was used to replace the child. Hmm... Why did you include it? I mean the photo would have worked without it, too. -stephan |

...by prodigal havocComment: I think this photo has some problems with the composition. E.g. chains of the swing merge with the framework in the background, especially the horizontical bar. Also the photo feels unbalanced because only one half of the swing framework is seen. It's like the whole thing will topple down next second. -stephan |

Blueby DannyComment: Very good photo! Good composition, lighting and focus. Very creative! Only flaw I see is that there is a pencil right in the middle which is not like the other yellow ones (not not the blue one of course ;-)) It reflects the light differently and therefore sticks out one somehow destroys the uniformity of the yellow pencils. -stephan |
