Keyholeby shutterflyComment: The hole is quite a bit out of focus, which directs the eye to the distance. But the eye finds there nothing (only white overexposure). So I would either focus on the hole or put something interesting to see in the distance behind the hole. -stephan |

Framedby lmhrComment: Wonderful example of use of framing as an compositional element. -stephan |

Windowsby JakComment: Nice composition. The diagonals are very effective. I also like the colouring. I don't know if you were aware of it when submitting the photo but there was a very similar photo in the "Free Study" challenge: //www.dpchallenge.com/image.asp?IMAGE_ID=3254 I score your photo on it's own merits but I think the other one is even better because of the dramatic sky. Also your photo seems to have some problems with JPEG compression (artefacts). -stephan |

Memento Moriby greenem2Comment: "Remember your death". Creative approach to the challenge. I like that. The face depicts the memento mori theme fine. The lighting is interesting. However it has a bit too much contrast for my taste. -stephan |

Son of 'Son of Man' (Magritte Revisited)by ClubJuggleComment: Great idea! Magritte is one of my favourite painters (love the one with the pipe). I also submitted a photo of something which is normally seen as paintings. I like that idea very much :-) I'm very interested how you did it. The shadow of the head/hat looks not so good and it would be better without. The background of the original is better ;-) Other than that I think that's not only a very creative but also technically good photo. So high points from me. -stephan |

Vier Erdbeerenby mciComment: Hehe, but considering the awful and sometimes very funny translations of Babelfish, I'll stick to English though. I think even my German-to-English is better than Babelfish's ;-) |

Vier Erdbeerenby mciComment: Ooops. I thought that you speak german when using such a title and somehow I felt invited to comment in german. But it wouldn't be fair to all the other non-german users who look through other people comments, either. Sorry about that. So here is the translation: "Hey, i'm probably the only one who gets the title ;-) Good idea with the milk! Nice contrast of colours white/red/green. I probaly would have used only three strawberries, because I find asymmetry more exciting. A little sad that the milk spills out of the photo, but overall a good stop motion photo." |

-stephan |
