:) excellent capture. You can almost feel a certain moment in time in this image. Although I am not related to this image I feel like I am in the position you would have been taking this shot. There's a great connection here. If I could suggest anything, it would be to correct the slight tilt to the right. Whatever is in the background doesn't bother me bacause I don't see it this image as a controlled studio set-up.
It's a great great great image :) You can tell I love this image. Well done and hope you ribbon.

It's an excellent B&W. I love the expressions in this one. You have captured it beautifully with excellent control of light, composition. The conversion to B&W is superb too. Wonderful job.

Beautiful portrait. The detail is superb and your B&W convertion is excellent. Wonderful B&W that looks like it's a real print. I know you'd be limited with what you can do with Basic Editing, but I think if you are processing it again, introducing a hint of grey to the collar would help balance the tones even more. Right now when you are looking at her eyes, you are aware of the collar.

I love the colours in this. Just wish that more of the scene was seen. I know that you have focussed on just one part of the scene. But the image cries out for more. That's me wanting to experience what you experienced there. It does look like there's some defects in the processing or the capture. The sky looks like it's got this blotches.
I like it, but just poitning out what I would have liked to see. Well done.

I don't like the treatment on this at all! (I know some people like it a lot). But this is my opinion.
The details are lost and the point where the boats are meeing the wate all all smudged except for the one that's the closest. I think I would have likes it bettter without this sort of treatment. I think it would have looked better with a more subtle treatment.

Well done is presenting it like this. I really like this image. But when I really think about it it's because I love this sculpture. But you have to have a good eye to spot it and them compose it like this. So all the the credit to you too. Well done.

April Showers

You have made a nice compositon. I even like the compostion. But. I have also read the title. It's this word 'showers' and the lighting in it that's bothering me. I can associate the image with showers at all. It actually looks to me more like it was taken on a really sunny and beautiful day. That's the idea I get from the patches on the umbrella and the lighting on her. Also, it doesn't at all look like it was taken at a natural surrounding. Correct me if I am wrong, but the word STUDIO is screaming at my face.
As am image, I like it. But what you wanted to represent with the image is what I am not sure about.
