The color of the rope is rather unappealing. The depth of field is exactly right. I guess I would like more positive and less negative space. I understand about the balance on the bend in the rope, but circles of confusion, even of nice foliage, occupy pixels which could be helping to tell the story.

A story well told. I don't mind the overexposure in the background, but perhaps a tighter crop on the right hand side and top would eliminate the distraction in that corner of the photo?

I like the angle and the American flag in the window may even tell us something about a difference in perspective as to what a little spot of rust curtails. Nice photo. A slightly tighter crop at the top leaving the full flag in but cropping the right turn signal more would keep my eyes from going to that dark place in between.

Obviously a well lit, well focused, well composed shot. However, this color of rust and the color of early spring foliage clash for me. The amount and way in which this subject has rusted also leaves little of interest for me.

Really great photo. Even the almost white background works. If you are going to do more backlit photos like this, it might be worth looking for a more interesting translucent background.

Take out the hose at the bottom, and I would give this a 6 or 7. With the hose, I am dropping it to a 4.
