Mountain of Cornby pumaComment: A little fill flash would not have hurt. Most of your subjects end up either over or under exposed. A 6. |

Deadened Yellowby kateasanovComment: Good job strewing the Ginko leaves. I just took an envelope and cropped off the top shadowed area which I find a little distracting. The nose and chin are just a little overexposed. An 8. |

My Minds Uncertainby ebbiebabeComment: I like this better with a significant reduction in contrast. It would appeal to me more if photographed under less harsh llight. The pose of the head is very nice, but the torso just seems to perpendicularly rise to the top of the frame. Some twist of the torso or realignment would create interest. A 6. |

Global Mpactby novaComment: I like the strength of the colors here, but something stange is going on with the black splotchs on the red and the horizontal tears of black across the yellow of the arch. Something in processing got overdone. Very nice composition. An 8. |

Sodium Vaporby alanbataarComment: Very interesting. As sodium vapor causes a number of changes, I think green to red and vice versa, it would be interesting to include things of recognizable color such as apples, bananas, lettuce, in such a picture and to attempt to process the picture without changing the colors as seen. I like the yellow jacket and the light in the trees. The exposure, depth of field, and focus are very good. Also, a very good model, especially if he had to hold still for long. A 9. |

Yellow Officesceneby mitemouzeComment: Nice touch throwing in the red paper clip and the darker yellow pencil. I turned the brightness of my monitor down to 25% and the pen top is still a little too bright. I would suggest shooting at a number of exposure settings and using levels adjustments to reduce glare, especially for bright yellow. Even the surface of the lined pad is wiped out by glare in the foreground center. A 7. |

Winter Pansy - closeupby SpeysiderComment: The light is a little strong and I would have removed, before shooting or after by cropping, the leaf with the hole in it. I haven't tried this yet, but I am seriously considering getting a large sheet to hang between the sun and the flower in order to diffuse the light as they are doing with the tabletop photos. You have lost the texure of the petals and the center of the flower to direct lighting. I love the purples in the background. A 7. |

SINKing in the rainby bairasComment: Excellent lemon slice and water surface, as well as drain. Lights and shadows perfection. I would have liked a faster shutter to stop the falling water just a hair more. Overall, a 10. |
