What a nice piece of real estate, even if the morning fog is still lingering at sundown.The shadow of the other building on the house is a little unfortunate. I would be tempted to crop the right side just to the right of the windows. A 10.

Back lighting the rind and the meat of the frontmost right slice really enhances the appearance of lemon slices. Placing the subject beetle on the dark side of an unbacklit slice creates a competition for attention. A 7.

The background is very busy if the focus is to be on the few yellow leaves hanging on a mostly barren tree. If this were taken later in the afternoon, nearer twilight, the background might be less compelling. Another way would be to reduce the depth of field, with a wider aperture or longer lens. A 7.

Yellow Rose

I love this. I am going to have to build a tabletop studio. Another light from the front just to illuminate the center of the rose would be nice. Now was it just a yellow light or a yellow rose? An 8.

was how I remembered kilroy in his several appearances in my neighborhood. The sky is a little noisy. Have you downloaded neatimage? The free version will take the noise out of the sky. A 5.

Reducing this to 640 pixel width really hurts. I zoomed in on the tape, and can see that it would be easily read in the original. The sign on the side of the tapeis also a little difficult to read and seems dim at this size. I think a little more playing with light positions would have helped this picture, especially moving the one on the right forward, and the one on the left nearer. An 8.

What a sky. The yellow on the sun side is just a little overexposed. All in all, you have a nice distribution of light over the underbody on what is obviously a very bright day. A 9.
