For me this is the only photo that actually shows a study of lines and shadows. The contrast is nice, good b&w, peaceful composition and the best thing is that it isn't just a composition of lines that makes it longlasting, but there is a real subject in it too (the fossile) - the only 10 for me!

you went through a lot of work to do this! The whole scene is very nice, the look in her eyes is perfectly for a hero, but there are too a few things that are a pity: the reflection of the blue sky in the hood (doesn't add up with the water..or is it supposed to be a waterfall? I don't have enough information for that) and her mouth looks a bit odd..
All in all: nice job!

I find this picture interesting...it is documentary and perfect for that matter! On the other hand creeps up the feeling that this is a scene I find very sad...I feel pity for the animals (and I don't know whether that's correct, maybe the pigs liked the running? I have never seen something like this before...) Apart from that the colours are all in tune, I find it especially very good that you've managed to catch the moment...the animals are definitely running, still it's stopped motion! The numbers on the backs are still visible adding more information to the picture, the crowd on the background, blurred, but still visible enough...perfect picture, but with a slight cruel (for me) feeling in it... ---> 10

validated??? Why??? (my guess is that there was someone underneath him throwing the extra fruit). I think this shot is very humouristic and still nice to look at!

lovely!!!! Colours just splash from my screen here!! I like the see-through especially and the sharpness and brightness of the balloons! The right balloon being just that bit bigger than the left one, compensates for the centred composition keeping it from being boring. You've got yourself a 10!

this one made me say: wow..... the first second I saw it...
What ISN'T great about it?? This must be a ribbon winner, must be!
Love the soft tones, the bridge on the background is beautifully picked, if it was only the sky, I wouldn't have find it this nice..the bird is nicely caught here, all details are visible and there are absolutely no motion marks, good placement (on the end of the bridge and slightly off centre)...great job!!! This will do great in DCPrints too I guess..--> 10!!!

ooh I like this one! Very nice soft shadows turning to harder ones, the cup is slightly off centre, but now the drip is on 1/3rd of the photo: perfect! The colours are beautiful and I like the sphere you give with it through the title, it fits the scene well. Only thing that bothers me a bit is the handle (don't know the right English word for it, in Holland we call it the 'ear') seems a bit brushed on the right edge in photoshop (or something alike)..it's not a crime though, but the hard edge seems a bit out of place.. even though I'll give it a 10, also because you managed to give such an original twirl to a cliche thing..well done!!!

Hi leenah!

Your picture is, first of all, very nice to look at! It has a good sense of humour in it, because of the person making funny steps (looks like it though). On the other hand you portrayed nature in a beautiful respectfull way. The light is beautiful, the sunbeams coming through the clouds gives a nice sphere to the picture.

The composition is very balanced: the silhouette of the person standing on the right versus the wideness of the water and the sky on the left.

The colours are soothening, soft, they fit the sphere very well. It's almost monochromatic with a touch of evening gold.

I personally like the photo very well, but I guess the score in the Challenge "choises" turned out not be that high because people thought it didn't meet it very well, hence the comments below. My intepretation in the light of the challenge would be the person choosing to step into the depth, into the nature of to stay on the rocks. If that is the case, then it is hard to see, because the person's silhouette is only showing and it isn't very clear whether we see him/her on the front or on the back or what site the leg is going.

Hope to have helped you,
Fotowereld.

bongo! (bingo!) great capture of the ..ehm..slime (I don't know how it's called) or waterdrops..that look in her eyes and nice desaturation of the subject itself (you're one of the few who dared to do that!)
