It seems to me the picture tries too hard to be "Art" with a capital "A." I don't mind staged shots, but this one seems *too* staged. It doesn't seem real or honest. Sorry. I do like the composition, though. The placement of your subject heightens the feeling you're going for.

Nicely done. I especially like how the sunset has the same shape as the balloon. To pick a nit: maybe crop it so the balloon were more in the up-right corner to provide more balance with the sunset. I'd hate to lose that cloud, though. Nice job getting the balloon so sharp. It's almost like you cut the shape out of the picture.

The horizon looks crooked; fixing that might skew the figure, but that might look better than the crooked horizon. His shadow is also cut off at the head. I do like the soft colors and the near-silhouette - it's calming.

The wall's reflection doesn't seem to match the wall itself. The poster's relection seems out of place since we can't see the poster. Despite that, I like how you've composed the shot. Also, the colors are nicely done. 6

I don't like the crop all that much, but I assume there was stuff on the left and right that would have detracted from the photo. Perhaps cutting some off the top would have helped. I like the b&w. Nice job showing "alone" even though there's more than one person in the frame.
