The thought bubbles are white and supposed to be photographed as such, the wall is "seafoam green" and is recorded by my camera at that color. Clean your monitor. The composition is supposed to be straightforward. There's no mystery here, keep that x-factor blasphemy off DPC, this isn't 1X.com...

Maybe your monitor is overbright, but your background isn't pure white. It's slightly grey that blends to white then to black. Very artificial looking.

I saw your other shots on the forum. I think the eyes are a little hyper-realistic but other than that, great shot! Oh, and the boken is a little weird looking to me, maybe over sharpened?

I think this has the potential to be a good landscape image. It looks like you took the time to mask out the back layer behind the valley for exposure but the overall blue cast seriously takes way from the image. Next time check your grey/white balance.
