Day 2by posthumousComment: Awww, poor Gracie. Nice use of motion blur to create a feeling. I can almost imagine her pain. |

Flashlight Graffitiby posthumousComment: That is so cool! I have been thinking about light-painting one of my cats for the POTD challenge. This cartoonish look is exactly what I had in mind. The inversion is genius. I had no idea how you did this until I read your notes. You draw better with a flashlight than most do with a pencil. Nice work! |

Day 2: Blissby rox_roxComment: Thanks for the comments!
Don,
The truth be known; I don't like that effect either. However, you are giving me too much credit for trying to create an emotional reaction. My dirty little secret is that my patio is terribly cracked and this is the only photo that even came out at all. So I tried to clone and blur the patio to disguise it. Here's the original:
This POTD thing is hard to do:) |

...by timfythetooComment: Great work on this shot! Definitely underrated. I like it even more, knowing the story of your cooperative neighbors. Photography sure can make one do some funny stuff, huh? Have they asked for a framed print for their wall, yet? |

"Knock it off, I said! ... This is a still life!"by aimeethetooComment: Congrats on your top 10 Aimee! This is a wonderful and humorous shot. I love the expressions and animation and especially appreciate how you did it in-camera. The white plate adds nice contrast to the dark BG. As always, your creativity and talent with fruit shines through! |
