Look of despairby bobdaveantComment: huh, i don't know what to make of this image. I don't like the white space to the right for sure. the lighting on the face is almost perfect. maybe I will return for further deliberation. |

My Boo Bearby sacredspiritComment: purple semi border distracts from nice photo otherwise. let the image and subject tell the story if at all possible. |

Girl in loveby birgirComment: the background, although you are incorporating into the image, is still distracting somewhat. The lighting and models pose are the highlights of this image. |

Tragicby PedroComment: I have made comments before about disturbing images for the sake of disturbing images and how this motive...to push the boundaries let's say...are ultimately self-centered actions for being progressive and unique. You however (and maybe it is because through your photography and comments) aren't this sort of man. This is one of those rare images that although blatantly disturbing, carries with it a heavy, important message. As you said many probably suffer more than this man, perhaps in the soul, but that doesn't take away from the fact that for an instant or forever, someone like this can change the way we look at the world. bobdeveant said, "I try to believe that God has a reason for everything that happens to us, I dont know the reason for this terrible tragedy." Well, I agree with the first part, but believe the answer is clear for the second. When we look at absolute beauty or unbelievable horror, more times than not we turn to God with questions, with thankfulness or for answers. And that is the purpose: for us to turn to God regardless. Through your image, you may help someone think deeper about life and God. |
