im sorry but the desat is not working here for me.. the tulips are way too red and saturated and the boy is... just doesnt work for me.. its like a snapshot that was edited to try to be more than a snapshot and it didnt come out well.

the owl is spectacular, the only complaint is the the eyes look almost unnaturally saturated.. the presenter/handler in the background is a distraction, the rest of the background has great bokeh and if that alone were the whole background it would be a much better image, imo.

the dof is lovely.. this is a seemingly great floral portrait, but the border takes away from me seeing more of the image. i would like to see it closer up to see the detail in the daisy but the border keeps me from that.

the subject is not clearly in focus, and the background doesnt have enough blur to make the foreground subject stand out. the subject isnt that interesting.. it doesnt have any Wham to it (unless he hits you with that stick hehe). the crop is good tho, the placement of the subject is good.. its just not a strong image for a free study.
