not the most artistic shot, not filtered and edited to bits, and thats why its one of the best shots.. it meets the challenge and then some! great job! 9

i like the duotone look, but it looks too burnt/dodged... its so burnt that I cant clearly tell the boat from the sky..

There are just some things that arent *photographic*, and a monkeys arse is one of them. It meets the challenge, it is technically good, but its just foul, and you knew that before you entered it.

nice intense look in the eyes... but the main subject of the shot is not one of the four elements.. take away the fact this is a Four Elements challenge and what we have is an amazing image. The eyes are gorgeous, the toning is perfect, the lighting and dof.. its really a beautiful shot.

one of the ten photography rules in my recent pcphoto mag said, always use your dslr camera's highlight mode to test for overblown highlights because its something that can rarely be fixed in photoshop. this is an great photo, an interesting angle, and I am a huge waterfall fan.. but my suggestion would be to go early or late in the day and to shoot without direct sunlight on the water, because the highlights in the water are slightly off.. also the shadow on the water is distracting from the beauty of the shot. I've found going right at dusk & opening up the shutter for a few seconds will bring in the missing light, give the water that flowy silky look and without blown highlights.. Just trying to give constructive critique, don't hate me lol :) 6

why does every great waterfall have ugly sticks or tree branches sticking out? As a viewer of an image and not the actual falls, its annoying. I have a few personal waterfall shots that have misc clutter in them, annoying, slow shutter on waterfalls is one of my fav things... anyway.. beautiful image minus the sticks in bottom right. 6
