I think you might have misspelled your title. With a shot like this, I have difficulty with the legs being so out of focus. It really needs more depth of field to work.

There isn't enough contrast between the subject and background - he seems to get lost in the image.

You're probably going to get a bunch of comments about this not conveying the theme, but I think the frozen motion conveys waiting to touchdown (or takeoff?) either way, nice shot. I'd like to see it a bit brighter, but nice composition and timing.

I'm not crazy about the depth of field blurring the foreground pieces.

Deep DOF would require that all three of these be in focus. Interesting subject, but definitely not meeting the challenge.

There's something about this image that (to me) wants to be b/w or sepia. Color seems to emphasize the individual elements, which aren't all that interesting on their own. Yet, you've captured a mood with this and non color formats tend to convey modds better. Again, that's just how I see this image - it's a nice shot either way.

I love the way this is composed to take advantage of the rail's angle. Very creative.

This is a classic Escher style - really creative to implement it photographically, and the b/w is perfect for it.
